What is a Novated Lease?

A novated lease is a three-way agreement between a financier, employee and employer. The employee leases the vehicle directly from the financier and the employer agrees via a deed of novation to make all repayments through the employee's salary packaging agreement. A novated lease allows you to claim a tax benefit for your vehicle and its running costs as part of your salary packaging agreement.

Taxation Benefits!

The tax benefit of a novated lease arises from the concessional fringe benefits tax treatment on the vehicle. Depending on the employee's individual financial circumstances, salary packaging a motor vehicle under a novated lease can have the effect of increasing an employee's net disposal income.
